It was a rainy morning, so no beach or pool on my last day at Hotel Valentin Perla Blanca.
While packing this morning, I suddenly saw a frog on the wall in my room. I screamed!
For a moment, it looked like a 3D hanging display on the wall, and then it started moving, and I screamed again! It was as big as my palm!!!
I quickly moved my things that were near the table next to the wall, and then it jumped on top of the coffee machine. And I screamed even more! It must have scared the frog as it jumped back onto the wall.
I quickly popped out of the room and see if the house keeping boy was around the corridor, but just saw an old lady.
She asked if I was the one who had been screaming and I said yes, and told her there is a frog in my room.
“A frog?”, she responded. I nodded my head and said it was on the wall. “On the wall?”, she was surprised.
She followed me into the room and the frog was climbing the wall as we walked in.
“How did the frog get in?”, she said.
“I had no idea”, I responded.
“Do you have a Cleanex?”, she asked.
“Will a towel do?” and handed here a towel which I had on the floor.
She picked up the frog quickly, opened the balcony door and threw it out.
I sighed a sigh of relief, and said thank you.
The old lady then said, “If it was a mouse, I would have screamed”.
I responded “I would have screamed too”, and we laughed and she went back out.
Then I recalled I had just popped out to the balcony earlier to pick up some clothes which I had left drying overnight, and the frog must have sneaked in. Sneaky fellow!!!
I must have woken up everyone in the building at 8.30am in the morning on a rainy day with my screams …
