The last time I was in Amsterdam was about 15 years ago. At that time I was only here for half a day and don't remember much of it.
Most people relate Amsterdam with windmills, canals, "coffee shops", bicycles, Red Light District, interesting architecture and buildings along canals.

Those are certainly present, which is also what makes the city unique and different from other cities in the world.
I greatly enjoyed my stay in Amsterdam and love the city. Walking along the numerous canals and walk ways and admiring the buildings, interesting history, very friendly people, and great vibes even in extremely cold winter temperatures (around 2 to - 4 degrees).
Hopping on one of the many free walking tours that are available at different locations and timings in the city gave me a quick snapshot of the city, before embarking on my own.
Getting lost within the city, discovering new routes and being mesmerized by the architecture and surroundings, subsequently became a regular part of my daily exploration in Amsterdam.
I even cycled within Amsterdam and to Zaanse Schans, alongside infamous "notorious" cyclists which rule the roads of the country and survived!
Would definitely love to come back here again, as still have places which I would love to visit.
Below are places which I had visited during my stay.
