Truck waiting at cabin |
After a 20 mins climb up the hills in the vehicle through road and some rough terrain, we arrived to a base filled with nice wooden cabins and lots of greenery.
We were subsequently ushered to a cabin to gear up and subsequently briefed on the "Dos and Don´ts", before jumping back into the truck again, which led us into the beginning of the Amistad National Park, where the ziplining will begin.
3km in total length divide into 12 different zip line cables, gliding through trees and overhead rivers, with views of the waterfalls and wildlife within the tree tops.

All geared up! |

The longest zipline was at 410m long, and it was pure adrenalin rush as we zoomed across cables, suspended between 30 to 60 m high, supported purely by the trees of the cloud forest.

Niklaus zooming across |
Time seemed to fly really fast when one is having fun and as we quickly zoomed across all 12 ziplines. It left me craving for more...
Although the tour was slightly expensive in my opinion, the professionalism and the enthusiasm of the guides and clear instructions and safety requirements, as well as the total experience of being in nature and experiencing the adrenalin rush was truly worth it.
