I spent some time with Carmen in the morning, and explored some of the roads we have yet to explore around Oualidia, before Carmen made her way to Casablanca at noon.
I have decided to stay an extra day to relax in the pleasant town of Oualidia, and also to spend more time with the company of interesting and hilarious people such as Aziz and Hissham.
Aziz took some time off work and brought me to the beach after Carmen left, where we rented a 4X4 vehicle. We had great fun scooting around on the sandy beach for about an hour, and we also stopped at some spots where Aziz showed me some secret caves in the area.
It was close to evening. We made our way back to the apartment and waited for Hissham to join us for dinner. The menu for tonight – Fish Tagine. As usual, the chef was Hissham, while we helped with the preparation. Throughout the preparation, Hissham was dancing and singing away, and Aziz joined in occasionally. Everyone had gone berserk that I couldn’t resist video-recording the “performance”.
Suddenly, there was a loud “Ppppooooott”! Silence followed for a moment, before we burst out laughing – Hissham just farted! We immediately replayed the video and the fart was so loud that it was captured in the audio of my camera! The whole night we continued disturbing Hissham by mimicking the fart sound with our mouths, and our stomachs cramped from laughter that never seemed to stop.
I am definitely going to miss Aziz and Hissham’s company when I leave tomorrow. Really genuine Moroccan friends which I have met so far.
