Day 112 – 115 : Lighthouse “Luminojos”

After being in communication with Max over a year about his lighthouse home, it was great to finally get the chance to visit it!

The most amazing thing is that this was personally built by Max, so it piqued my curiousity further in wanting to see this place he calls home.

House on top of cliffIn total isolation from the world and perched on top of a cliff, with more than 180 degree unblocked panoramic view of the South Pacific ocean, it was just perfect to recharge after feeling like I had been on an “Amazing Race” for the last few months, running from one city to the next.

Also great for not putting too much stress on my injured ankle as I spent the last 4 days mostly in the house or within 1km radius from Max’s Lighthouse home.

View from inside houseWaking up to sound of waves in the background as it hits the cliff each morning before having a late breakfast with an impeccable view in front of us, and ending the day with a beautiful sunset and yummy dinners was just total luxury!

It was hard not to want to stay longer (and thus I am not surprised that Chris & Sarah, a British couple Max was also hosting, has been there for over 3 weeks!), but due to some pre-arranged schedules, I had to get on my way and say good bye to this humble abode which Max calls home.

To Max : Keep the inspiration going and continue inspiring others.  All the best with your English edition of your book, and future writings!
