Monkey Feeding

Located near our boat was a small jetty, where lived 3 monkeys. Thomas said that they often come out to the pier in the evening, waiting for people to feed them, and that they are really funny to look at.

We invited Jim to come with us, and we were surprised at his answer.

Thomas : We are going to the pier to see the monkeys.  You wanna join?

Jim : Oh, no. I will stay here on the boat.

Maryanne : Why not?

Jim : I have seen the monkeys on the internet.

Rest of us : (Speechless and scratching our head)

Taking some bananas with us, we made our way in the dinghy towards the pier, and throughout the dinghy boat ride to the pier, we were laughing at Jim´s comments.

"See on the internet?"  What´s the point of travelling, since everything can be seen on the internet!?!

When we arrived at the pier, there were 1 male and 2 female monkeys, and they were really hilarious – the way they moved, stretched and gestured.

We stayed there for about half an hour, laughing at the monkeys and also about Jim´s comments before making our way back to the sailboat.
