We had an early start on our road trip to tour around the north-east part of Chios which we have yet to cover, since we had to return the car before 1pm in Chios Town, in order to catch the 1.30pm bus back to Volissos.
The drive around Chios both today and yesterday made me miss New Zealand as I felt I was in a mini New Zealand,
while we drove past winding roads filled with mountainous views of spectacular coastlines and rolling hills. There were also hardly any cars around!
As we drove into Chios town, we saw the iconic windmills bordering the town that are seen in most Chios photos.
And here is one last shot of Chios town as taken from the bus. Just look at how beautiful the coastline is!
Unfortunately, I suffered a casualty… my Havaianas gave way halfway during the road trip! :(
Thanks to Moa, it was temporarily salvaged for the trip back to the boat. It’s a good thing I had packed a pair of sandals which I can use until I get to Brazil! :D
Sunglasses must buy those old school ones with the gigantic thick frames and no more flip flops :P
ReplyDeleteWhy no more flip flops??? :( They are so easy to walk in, and especially useful for wearing into showers at hostels!
ReplyDeleteI don´t want a big batman mark on my face with those huge sunglases!
