Wrap Up : Sailing in Greece

In 21 days, I managed to cover many islands, mainly in the North Aegean Sea :

These were islands which I would never have ventured to if I had travelled on my own as they were less common and not often mentioned.

Yet, there were beauty in many of them and as they were less touristy, it was unspoilt and with little crowd.

My favourite bay would have to be Mikro Fanaraki, and I would love to spend more time in Skiathos.  Would also love to explore the Dodecanese and Cyclades Islands the next time I come to Greece, just to compare the southern and more touristy part of Greece with the ones above and experience how different they are.

Some Special Memories from time on “Gaia”

More about Sailboat “Gaia”

Gaia

Gaia was completed in 1975 (even older than me!), and according to Alberto, I am the first Asian on board the boat.  What an honour!

And not to forget, Alberto – Captain, Amazing Chef, Driver (driving us around in Chios and showing us his personal favourites in Greece) and much more!

Thank you for having me on board for the last 3 week, showing me the ropes, feeding me well with lots of pastas, Greek desserts, and other delicious treats, and for giving me a wonderful experience and memories that would last a lifetime.

  1. Thank you, I have really enjoyed following your blog and pictures, to see what a wonderful time Moa (my wife) has been having with you and the others. It has probably inspired us to blog about our travels next time.

Enjoy you further travelling, maybe we will see you in Helsinki sometime!

PS hopefully next year I will be able to go with Moa on another voyage.

  2. Glad you enjoyed the blog! I had a great time with Moa too and it was sad that we had to leave.

But I heard both of you are coming through Singapore in April, so it would be great to catch up again, and meet you in person!

Moa spoke very highly and fondly of you ;)
