I guess if you have been following my blog, the above doesn’t come as a surprise.
Cordoba is a fairly small city, with about 6,000 inhabitants and sights can mostly be covered within 1.5 days. What I liked about Cordoba is that it is very friendly for non-Spanish speakers as there were usually signs and write-up about the attraction in English.
Cordoba was more of a place for me to wind down from all the heavy walking that was done over the last one week, so it came as a highly deserved rest, and to end of with good food on the night before I leave was a bonus!
I was tempted to try out the Al-Hammam baths, a traditional bath with a 30 minutes massage at the end, but I will leave that till when I get to Granada, so that I can have something more to look forward to when I am there
Weather is a lot hotter here in Cordoba than what I had experienced. It is said that Cordoba is actually the hottest place in Spain during summer, so for that reason, I didn’t want to stay too long in Cordoba either, and just wanted to get to a place which is closer to the coast, and hopefully with some nice beach!
In any case, 2 nights in Cordoba is usually fairly sufficient to see the main sights and have a feel of the town.
