Took a walk around the centre of Malaga earlier, and it was soooo quiet and empty! Total contrast from the last few days of activities on the streets.
Although today is supposed to be the last day of the La Feria, the streets are extremely quiet today, since yesterday was the last day of the Feria where drinking is allowed on the streets.
It is quite pleasant walking around the streets and seeing it without the crowd and without the trashy feel of bottles and rubbish everywhere. However the Feria gave a wonderful atmosphere to the city and is definitely an experience!
Day Feria
The La Feria is a 1 week event held in August, and includes a day event where most people will hang out to have drinks along a street called Marques de Larios, and party from mid day till about 6pm before heading to the Clubs.
Check out some of the interesting scenes of the La Feria in the day and feel the atmosphere in the air!
Night Feria
There is also a night event, which is a MASSIVE fair that I went to with a few hostel mates last night (to be exact, it was early this morning). The crowd usually starts at about midnight and ends at 6am in the morning!
It has a huge area for many different rides and snack bars, and another section filled with more than 50 different “taverns”, each extremely crowded and a dance area filled with people dancing.
There were even children up till wee hours of the night – probably the 1 week they are allowed to stay up late and have fun with the adults.
We headed to the amusement park area to take a couple of rides and picked 2 of the most thrilling rides to go on. “Top Gun” and “Project 1”. Check out the video of “Top Gun”!
Came across this ride, and my heart went out to the ponies! They used real live ponies here, and I feel really sorry for them as the ponies will have to be up the whole night just walking around in circles and doing this for the entire period of the fair!
On a lighter note, here’s some eye candy for the ladies!
