Day 59 : Road Trip to Recife

Bus connections from Pipa to rest of the other cities are not so direct.  Getting to Recife required that I take a 40 minutes ride on a mini van from the hostel to Goianinha, and from there walk along the highway to a restaurant called Mirante do Vale where I can purchase my bus ticket.

This is also where the buses pick up passengers towards Recife

It was about a 10 minutes walk from the final bus stop at Goianinha, and it felt weird walking and crossing along the highway to the restaurant. It was a good thing that the highway traffic was fairly mild!

So I bought my bus ticket and got on the bus to Recife.  Surprisingly, the bus was fairly comfortable with good cushioned seats and supporting leg rest!  I am glad, especially since it was a 4 hour bus ride.

The travelling time from Pipa to Recife meant that the whole day is just spent travelling to get from one point to another.  Nevertheless I was glad I stayed in Pipa and would have loved to spent a few more days, given the luxury of time.
