We headed to the southern part of the island to do some trekking, as Leandro (Leonardo’s brother) and his friend Selyo will be heading to Bolivia and Peru and will be trekking Macchu Picchu.
It was a fairly easy trail as most of the route was paved, and with some steep terrains. The view though was absolutely picturesque as we climbed the hill and got to see the Atlantic Ocean during the trek.
We must have trekked up for about an hour and a half before deciding to head back down as we were all getting hungry and headed to a nearby restaurant at a fishing village to eat some fish.
The waiting time was expected to be long, so we ordered some pastel (which looks like curry puff!) stuffed with prawns to ease our hunger and patiently wait for our food.
The food arrived after about 40 minutes of wait, and it was a wide spread, comprising 2 different fishes (swordfish fillet and mackerel – both catches of the day), minced shark meat, some salad, rice, fries and some sauces.
YUM!
